Teacher of Visually Impaired - Nottingham, MD

Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland TVI licensure required
- Experience working with visually impaired students in K-12 settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of specialized instructional strategies, Braille, and assistive technology
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Passion for fostering independence and confidence among students
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans tailored to students’ needs
- Provide direct and consultative instruction in Braille, assistive technology, and orientation and mobility as appropriate
- Modify and adapt curriculum materials for accessibility
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to support student development
- Track student progress and communicate achievements and areas of growth
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a positive school culture
