Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Maryland teacher certification with endorsement as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experience working with children Pre-K through 12th grade
- Commitment to in-person instruction; virtual/hybrid arrangements not available
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 20-25 students
- Familiarity with IEPs and specially designed instruction preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation and specially designed instruction in accordance with student IEPs
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support visually impaired students
- Adapt lessons and materials to accommodate varied learning styles and levels
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Engage with families and staff to foster student success
