Key Qualifications:
- Active Arizona Standard Secondary Teaching License
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Card
- K-12 Visually Impaired Special Education Certificate or corresponding endorsement
- Demonstrated expertise in providing specialized instruction for students who are visually impaired
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and families
- Flexibility to travel between locations as assigned
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction for visually impaired students across multiple sites
- Develop, adapt, and implement learning materials and lesson plans
- Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and ensure accessibility
- Assess student progress and create clear, actionable IEP goals
- Offer guidance, resources, and training to support staff and families
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state standards
- Participate actively in staff meetings and case conferences
