Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (VI Teacher)
- Previous experience working with students who are visually impaired preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementing individualized instructional strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Comfortable conducting both formal and informal assessments
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet district and student-specific requirements
Responsibilities Include:
- Instructing students with visual impairments using adapted curriculum and materials
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assessing student progress and adjusting approaches to maximize growth and learning
- Preparing detailed reports documenting student achievement
- Attending and actively participating in ARD meetings throughout the school year
- Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
This full-time contract runs from August 10, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and covers standard school hours Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week. With positions available across grade levels, you'll find dynamic, varied experiences all year long.
