Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Sugar Land, Texas

In this role, you’ll contribute to students’ learning and independence through direct instruction, consultation with school teams, and adaptation of curriculum and materials. You’ll be a valued resource, helping shape the educational experience for learners with visual impairments across multiple school sites.
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
- Valid TVI educator license required
- Experience servicing K-12 students with visual impairments
- Familiarity with Braille instruction, assistive technology, and adaptive resources
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to travel to various school locations as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments in line with their IEPs
- Assess student needs and recommend appropriate accommodations and technology
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff to support student success
- Adapt and modify educational materials for accessibility
- Maintain progress records and ensure compliance with district and state guidelines
