Leverage your background as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) or Orientation and Mobility Specialist in a dynamic role, working 37.5 hours per week in one school location. You’ll provide essential 1:1 support to students with behavioral needs across elementary, middle, or high school settings. In this role, you will primarily assist students who benefit from Autistic and Emotional Support programs. Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are encouraged to apply and will function as “floating RBTs,” offering flexible behavioral support to students where it’s needed most.
Qualifications:
- Active RBT certification required
- Ability to provide your own supervision as needed
- Experience working with visually impaired students or in behavior intervention preferred
- Strong communication skills and collaborative spirit
- Adaptable to work across various age groups and behavioral needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized support to students with visual impairments and behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with education and support teams to implement plans and strategies
- Document progress and communicate regularly with staff and families
- Adapt instructional materials and approaches for each student’s needs
