What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Michigan Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license (required)
- Experience supporting K-12 students in an educational setting
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized educational strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families
- Flexibility to work part-time, onsite, two days per week
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments
- Conduct individualized assessments and contribute to educational planning for each student
- Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet the unique needs of each learner
- Recommend and facilitate the use of assistive technology and accessible resources
- Offer training and support for classroom staff and families to promote student progress
- Maintain detailed records and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
