Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting their educational journey as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in the heart of Seminole County. This contract position runs from August 10, 2026, through May 25, 2027, and serves students across both elementary and middle school levels within the Lake Howell and Lake Mary school clusters. You’ll work full-time (35 hours per week) onsite, serving a manageable caseload of approximately 12 students in grades K–8. Most days, you’ll be itinerant between just two campuses, making logistics straightforward and allowing for meaningful impact.
Qualifications:
- Valid Educator Certification with Vision endorsement (required)
- Experience working as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, preferably in a K–8 school environment
- Strong communication skills and adaptability for itinerant assignments
- Ability to collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers
- Willingness to complete all district credentialing, background checks, and fingerprinting in a timely manner
