As a TVI professional, you’ll directly serve 12 students and consult for two more, delivering 690 service minutes weekly. Each day will bring new challenges and growth as you support children from different backgrounds, teach Braille, and help students thrive across multiple settings. Requirements:
- Valid FL DOE Teacher for Visually Impaired certification
- Ability to teach Braille to school-aged students
- Open to travel/assignments across multiple campus locations
- Willingness to complete district fingerprinting, with the option to use prior prints if applicable
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and consultative services to visually impaired students
- Develop individualized educational plans and coordinate across school sites
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in IEP meetings
- Support student independence with adaptive technologies and resources
