Qualifications:
- Valid Educator Certification and National Certification
- Successful completion of district background, fingerprinting, and credentialing requirements
- Experience working as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired strongly preferred
- Adaptability and commitment to traveling between assigned schools
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
- Serve an itinerant caseload of approximately 12 K-8 students across up to 3 schools in a day (most days will involve just 2 schools)
- Develop and implement individualized instructional plans for students with visual impairments
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and staff to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress
- Attend IEP meetings and participate in student advocacy
