Qualifications and Experience
- Valid Educator Certification for teaching the visually impaired
- Active National Certification
- Experience or passion for working with students K–8 with visual impairments
- Successful completion of district-specific background checks, fingerprinting, and required documentation
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-impact, individualized instruction to a caseload of 12 K–8 students across elementary and middle schools
- Travel between assigned schools within the same cluster, providing on-site, specialized support
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to craft enriching, accessible learning environments
- Develop and adapt lesson plans addressing each student’s unique needs and strengths
- Maintain ongoing progress reports and participate in student planning meetings
