Qualifications and Experience

  • Valid Educator Certification for teaching the visually impaired
  • Active National Certification
  • Experience or passion for working with students K–8 with visual impairments
  • Successful completion of district-specific background checks, fingerprinting, and required documentation

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-impact, individualized instruction to a caseload of 12 K–8 students across elementary and middle schools
  • Travel between assigned schools within the same cluster, providing on-site, specialized support
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to craft enriching, accessible learning environments
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans addressing each student’s unique needs and strengths
  • Maintain ongoing progress reports and participate in student planning meetings
