Start an impactful new chapter as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired by supporting students across a dynamic school cluster near Apopka, FL. This full-time, on-site contract role runs from August 10, 2026, through May 25, 2027, and offers a great opportunity to make a difference within a collaborative educational community.

You'll work itinerantly between two schools per day within the same cluster, with occasional coverage for a third school. The caseload covers students in grades K–8, totaling 12 students, and includes both elementary and middle school learners. Your day-to-day will be varied and engaging, as you'll serve campuses such as English Estates Elementary, Heathrow Elementary, Greenwood Lakes Middle, Tuskawilla Middle, and Markham Woods Middle, as well as working with ninth graders at Seminole High and students at Lake Mary High.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Educator Certification with Vision endorsement (required)
  • Proven experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in K-8 settings
  • Ability to work effectively across elementary, middle, and high school environments
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
  • Ability to meet time-sensitive credentialing requirements: district background check, fingerprinting, and completion of required forms

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver specialized instruction for students who are visually impaired
  • Adapt academic materials and instructional strategies to meet individual needs
  • Collaborate with general educators, staff, and families to support student growth and independence
  • Monitor student progress and maintain comprehensive documentation
  • Travel between assigned schools within a cluster during your workweek
