Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- State credentials required to work in educational settings
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation for visually impaired students
- Excellent organizational skills for managing itinerant assignments across multiple sites
- Effective communication abilities to collaborate with other TVIs, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support services to students with visual impairments as identified in their IEPs
- Collaborate with on-site TVIs and Orientation & Mobility staff to ensure comprehensive care
- Assess student progress and participate in IEP meetings to tailor educational plans
- Travel between assigned schools to deliver vision services
- Document services and progress with attention to detail
- Serve as a resource for general education staff and administrators
This opportunity begins August 31, 2026, and offers a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The weekly pay rate ranges from $35 to $40 per hour, reflecting your expertise and commitment.
