Qualifications:
- Valid state-issued teaching certification in Visual Impairment (required)
- Relevant credentials for working in educational settings
- Experience designing and implementing IEPs for visually impaired students preferred
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Adaptability to serve multiple school sites
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments
- Travel among a cluster of schools to fulfill IEP vision service requirements
- Consult with teachers and administrators regarding adaptations and accessibility
- Develop individualized strategies for student success
- Maintain ongoing communication with parents and multidisciplinary teams
