Your expertise will help ensure all students with visual impairments receive individualized education tailored to their unique abilities and needs. The position is onsite with a consistent schedule, running from August 24, 2026, to June 16, 2027, at 32.5 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Certification/License
- Experience working with students with visual impairments across K-12 settings
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to develop and implement adapted educational materials
- Collaborative attitude for working alongside multidisciplinary teams
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments throughout the K-12 spectrum
- Adapt curriculum and create accessible materials to meet students’ individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Coordinate with teachers, families, and service providers to monitor student progress and success
- Offer consultation and training to staff on best practices for supporting visually impaired students
- Maintain consistent documentation and participate in IEP meetings
