Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required.
- State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired is mandatory.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or pediatric setting is highly desirable.

- Ability to collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers.
- Eagerness to adapt instructional strategies to meet individualized student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 instruction to a student with visual impairments, helping them access the curriculum and develop essential life skills.
- Assess, monitor, and document student progress, adjusting teaching approaches as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in conjunction with the educational team.
- Consult with teachers, aides, and specialists to optimize learning environments and materials for accessibility.
- Offer support and guidance to families addressing the student’s educational and adaptive needs.
