Key Qualifications:

- State Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) is mandatory
- Prior experience working 1:1 with pediatric students is highly desirable

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, individualized instruction to a student with visual impairments, following their IEP goals
- Develop and adapt lesson plans and instructional materials using accessible formats and assistive technology
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and family members to ensure a cohesive educational experience
- Maintain accurate progress reports and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering valuable input and strategies to support the student’s unique needs
- Serve as a resource to school staff regarding best practices for accommodating and instructing visually impaired students
