Long-Term 1:1 Teacher for the Visually Impaired | Cambridge, Massachusetts

Make an immediate impact supporting students as a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired in an engaging school-based setting near Cambridge, MA. This full-time, on-site contract position offers the opportunity to work 1:1 with pediatric learners, making a difference in their educational journey while building lasting professional relationships.
Applicants must have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in education or a related discipline
- State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experience or strong interest in working 1:1 with pediatric populations
- The ability to commit to a long-term assignment
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Key duties will include:
- Delivering tailored instruction to visually impaired students on an individualized basis
- Collaborating with classroom teachers, aides, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ academic and developmental progress
- Evaluating student needs and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Providing both direct and consultative services in accordance with IEPs and school protocols
- Supporting families through guidance and regular updates on student progress
- Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to state and district regulations
