Exciting opportunities are available for skilled Teachers for the Visually Impaired to support students across K-8 grades in a vibrant educational setting near Deltona, FL. This full-time, contract position involves serving an itinerant caseload within school clusters, allowing for impactful instruction and collaboration with dedicated educational teams.

You will provide vital services at both elementary and middle schools, supporting approximately 12 students, with official caseload specifics tailored based on your experience and availability. Assignments will involve working with a close-knit group of schools within the clusters, maximizing meaningful connections with both students and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Educator Certification with a Vision endorsement is required.
  • Experience teaching or supporting students with visual impairments within a school environment.
  • Ability to adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet student needs.
  • Must complete district background check, fingerprinting, and required onboarding forms.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct services and consultation for students with visual impairments across elementary and middle school settings (grades K-8).
  • Travel between schools within a designated cluster, supporting no more than two schools daily.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized educational plans in collaboration with special education teams.
  • Provide technical assistance and recommendations on accessible instructional strategies.
  • Maintain timely records and participate in student progress reviews and IEP meetings.
