Make a meaningful difference supporting students with visual impairments across elementary, middle, and high school settings! This contract position offers full-time hours during the 2026-2027 academic year, from August 10, 2026, through May 27, 2027. You’ll play a key role in ensuring every student receives the specialized instruction and support they need to succeed.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (VI Teacher) required
- Experience working with students in elementary, middle, and high school settings preferred
- Proficiency in both traditional and adaptive instructional methods for visually impaired students
- Ability to interpret and implement district requirements and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Experience or knowledge of sign language interpretation is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Flexible and resilient, able to thrive in a dynamic school environment
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver tailored instruction to visually impaired students across grade levels
- Conduct formal and informal assessments to monitor student achievement
- Prepare instructional materials and accommodations to meet individualized needs
- Attend and participate in ARD meetings, contributing expertise to develop effective plans
- Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support professionals
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports
