Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Raeford, North Carolina

Key Qualifications:
- State certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (VI) is required
- Proficiency in specialized methods for visually impaired students in accordance with district guidelines
- Experience or strong familiarity with presenting to and collaborating in ARD meetings
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Comfort working across a caseload spanning elementary, middle, and high school students
- Effective written and verbal communication, including document preparation for compliance
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging instruction tailored to students with visual impairments
- Utilize both formal and informal assessments to monitor and document student achievement and progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and educational staff to ensure coordinated student support
- Attend and prepare for ARD meetings, contributing insights and ensuring educational objectives are met
- Support accessibility through up-to-date instructional resources and adaptive technology
- Maintain accurate records and assist with compliance documentation as required by the district
