Make a meaningful impact supporting students with visual impairments in an onsite role beginning August 2026! This full-time contract opportunity centers on providing direct services within a supportive educational environment. Days are Monday through Friday, with the possibility of considering part-time hours depending on the successful candidate’s availability and the district’s finalized caseload numbers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering individualized educational services to students with visual impairments, tailored by age group in collaboration with district staff to align with your expertise and preferences
  • Traveling between school sites as needed to support student educational goals across different grade levels
  • Maintaining thorough daily logs to document services provided, ensuring compliance with district and state requirements
  • Participating in IEP meetings, contributing professional insights and fostering strong communication with staff and families
  • Supporting educators and paraprofessionals through modeling best practices and sharing resources
  • Engaging in occasional pre- or post-academic year planning as determined by district needs

Desired qualifications:

  • Active Georgia Educator Certificate for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Experience providing direct services to students with visual impairments in a school setting is strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills for meticulous documentation and daily log completion
  • Flexibility and openness to collaborate on age group placements based on your skills and district needs
  • Comfortable working onsite (remote/VOCO candidates will not be considered)
