You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team of Teachers for the Visually Impaired, playing an essential part in empowering students across one close-knit school site throughout the entire 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, onsite position allows you to work directly with students, providing tailored support that enables them to thrive in mainstream classroom environments.
What You'll Need:
- Valid California TVI Certification
- Current PPS Credential
- Experience or commitment to working with K-12 students with a range of visual needs
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet IEP goals
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, adapting learning materials as needed
- Collaborate daily with two other TVI professionals and general education staff
- Assess students' needs as determined by their IEPs, and contribute to IEP meetings and progress reports
- Facilitate access to classroom curriculum, enabling inclusive and equitable participation
- Support students across a variety of age groups from kindergarten through twelfth grade
