Qualifications:
- Valid Education Specialist Instruction Credential with specialization in Visual Impairments (VI)
- Proficiency in Braille instruction and/or certification as a Braillist; CVRT background a plus
- Experience working with visually impaired students preferred
- Strong communication, coaching, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct Braille and literacy instruction to an 11th-grade student with significant skill gaps
- Collaborate with classroom staff and related service providers using an innovative coaching model
- Utilize virtual or onsite intervention strategies to maximize student success
- Support the student’s academic goals through customized lesson planning and adaptive technology
