Qualifications:

  • Valid Education Specialist Instruction Credential with specialization in Visual Impairments (VI)
  • Proficiency in Braille instruction and/or certification as a Braillist; CVRT background a plus
  • Experience working with visually impaired students preferred
  • Strong communication, coaching, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct Braille and literacy instruction to an 11th-grade student with significant skill gaps
  • Collaborate with classroom staff and related service providers using an innovative coaching model
  • Utilize virtual or onsite intervention strategies to maximize student success
  • Support the student’s academic goals through customized lesson planning and adaptive technology
