In this position, you’ll support a diverse caseload of 18 students, spanning ages and abilities. Responsibilities include providing direct instructional services (including Braille instruction), collaborating on IEP development (currently 13 IEPs with 4 needing direct services and 3 learning Braille), and addressing the needs of 504 students. The school district values teamwork and ensures that you have access to necessary paraeducator or other staff support and supervision.
To thrive in this role, candidates should possess:
- TVI Certification (required)
- Experience working with visually impaired school-age children
- Strong skills in Braille instruction and adaptive technology
- Familiarity with IEP and 504 plan development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Flexibility to work across multiple school locations as needed
Your daily duties will involve:
- Delivering specialized instruction to meet students’ unique learning needs
