Empower K-12 learners throughout York County as an onsite Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the upcoming school year. Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid TVI certification in Pennsylvania
- Experience providing services and adapting curriculum for visually impaired students, K-12
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Reliable transportation for travel across multiple school sites
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and itinerant scheduling
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and vision services to students as specified in IEPs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies
- Screen, assess, and document students’ visual abilities and needs
- Provide training and consultative support to district staff on best practices for accessibility
- Develop and maintain communication with families to support student success
- Travel between school campuses within York County to serve assigned caseload
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team collaborations
