As a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, you’ll work onsite, collaborating closely with school staff and providing tailored instruction that helps each student succeed. Desired qualifications:
- Hold a valid Pennsylvania teaching license as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Previous experience supporting students in K-12 settings (preferred)
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt and individualize instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Reliable transportation for travel to various school sites within York County
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments
- Work collaboratively with educators, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Travel between school sites in Southern, South Eastern, and Dallastown districts
- Assess student progress and modify instructional approaches as needed
- Maintain documentation and provide reports to school teams and administrators
