Key Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State Driver's License or demonstration of mobility
- Successful WSP and FBI background clearance; sexual misconduct clearance required
- Demonstrated competency with Unified English Braille code, verified by WSSB Braille Competency Test, NBPCB UEB exam, or a Library of Congress certificate in literary braille transcribing
- Previous school-based experience highly preferred
- Experience with elementary caseloads is a plus
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person services to an elementary caseload throughout the 26/27 school year (up to 20 hours/week; schedule is flexible and will be determined)
- Transcribe and produce braille and tactile materials for school-based use
- Collaborate with educational staff to ensure accessible materials for visually impaired students
- Maintain compliance with all applicable background and security clearances
