Desired Qualifications:
- Passing scores on the ParaPro Test, or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Unified English Braille (UEB) within one year of hire, fulfilled by one of:
- Washington State School for the Blind’s Braille competency test
- National Certification in Unified English Braille exam (NBPCB)
- Library of Congress Certificate in Literary Braille Transcribing
Key Responsibilities:
- Transcribe instructional materials into braille, tactile graphics, and accessible formats.
- Collaborate with education teams to ensure equitable access to curriculum for visually impaired students.
- Work onsite at one elementary school, Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours/week.
