Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting students with visual impairments in an educational setting
- Strong competency in Unified English Braille (validated by passing the WSSB Braille Competency Test, NBPCB Unified English Braille exam, or holding a Library of Congress certificate)
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License (or proof of mobility)
- Successful fingerprints and WSP/FBI/sexual misconduct clearance
Key Responsibilities
- Transcribing educational materials into braille, tactile graphics, and accessible formats for elementary students
- Collaborating with educators to provide equitable curriculum access
- Working a student-facing, in-person schedule: 37.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am–4:00 pm
