- Valid and current Pennsylvania teaching certification for Visually Impaired students
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in serving K-12 populations with visual impairments
- Familiarity with individualized instructional strategies, adaptive technology, and collaborative approaches
- Willingness to travel between schools as an itinerant provider
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
Responsibilities include:
- Providing direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments in general and special education settings
- Coordinating with district staff, related service providers, and families to ensure student access to the curriculum and materials
- Assessing students’ needs and developing Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals related to visual impairment
- Supporting the implementation of assistive technology and accessible resources
- Maintaining timely documentation and progress reports
