Qualifications

  • Valid teaching certification appropriate for the role (Visually Impaired Teacher or relevant special education/other teaching licensure)
  • Experience working with students who have visual or complex learning needs
  • Strong technology and digital curriculum skills
  • Ability to adapt and upload instructional materials for digital access
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Convert and adapt curriculum materials, assignments, and notes for electronic/digital accessibility
  • Collaborate with school staff to implement recommendations following student evaluations
  • Provide ongoing support to ensure accessible educational experiences
  • Contribute to creating a resource-rich support system for the student’s success
