As an experienced educator, you’ll work intensively to adapt a range of materials so that all assignments—workbooks, homework, notes, and science resources—are accessible and fully interactive on a computer.
Key Qualifications:
- Certified teacher, ideally with experience in supporting students with visual impairments or complex educational needs
- Strong technical aptitude, particularly in converting curriculum materials for digital use
- Experience working collaboratively with academic teams, special educators, and support staff
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with accessibility strategies, digital platforms, and technology integration in educational settings
Core Responsibilities:
- Adapt and upload all assigned curriculum and instructional materials for digital accessibility
- Serve as a point of contact for the educational team, ensuring student learning needs are consistently met
- Collaborate with staff to carry out recommendations provided following the student’s vision screening and surgery
- Troubleshoot digital access issues, seeking innovative solutions to enhance the student’s learning experience
- Stay updated with the latest adaptive technology and implement classroom best practices
