This onsite, contract-based opportunity centers on assisting a school team as they welcome back Ramesses—a student whose resilience and journey are both inspiring and complex—following his recovery and adaptation after corrective cosmetic eye surgery. Working over 30 hours per week, you’ll collaborate closely with educators to ensure every aspect of classroom instruction is accessible in a digital format.
Key Responsibilities:
- Convert and adapt curriculum materials, including workbooks, homework, classroom notes, and science resources, into digital formats for computer use.
- Provide hands-on support to teachers and staff for uploading, organizing, and maintaining accessible learning materials.
- Collaborate with instructional and support teams to identify the best technological solutions for unique student needs.
- Stay responsive to updates regarding specific supports and resources as more information becomes available.
- Maintain a flexible and innovative mindset to address evolving challenges and recommendations from vision and accessibility professionals.
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Demonstrated experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired or related educational roles.
