Long-Term 1:1 Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Hope Hull, AL

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required
- Current state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
- Prior experience in a 1:1 classroom or working directly with students who are visually impaired
- Commitment to fostering accessibility and independence for visually impaired students
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, parents, and educational teams
In this role, you will:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to a pediatric student in a 1:1 setting, adapting materials and lesson plans to meet specific needs
- Assess student’s visual function and learning progress, implementing modifications and accessible technologies
- Coordinate educational activities and develop strategies that promote participation, engagement, and growth
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—such as general educators, therapists, and families—to maximize each child’s educational experience
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP development and progress tracking, ensuring compliance with educational guidelines
