Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
- Experience with elementary and middle school populations
- Proficient in Braille instruction (up to five Braille students on caseload)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between school sites
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to a caseload of up to 15 visually impaired students
- Provide Braille instruction as needed
- Adapt curriculum materials for accessibility
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Travel between partnered schools and districts as assigned
- Maintain progress reports and conduct assessments
- Serve students Monday through Friday, full-time (37.5 hours/week), August–June 2027
