Qualifications:
- Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Specialist certification preferred; dual credentials highly desirable
- Experience providing services in K-12 educational settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Braille instruction; braille transcription expertise a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support for visually impaired students
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide orientation and mobility training, if qualified
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, caregivers, and administration
- Support inclusion in classroom and community environments
