Requirements for this opportunity:

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required
• Current state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
• Experience in 1:1 instruction, preferably with pediatric populations
• Strong ability to adapt strategies for individual student needs
• Comfortable fostering inclusive classroom environments
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills

In this long-term role, you’ll:

• Deliver personalized instruction to a visually impaired student, adjusting teaching approaches to match evolving needs
• Work one-on-one to build adaptive skills, promoting academic growth and independence
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in coordination with multidisciplinary teams, families, and other educators
• Provide ongoing progress updates and maintain comprehensive documentation
• Support the student’s participation in all aspects of school life, creating accessible and engaging learning materials
