This contract opportunity runs from August 18, 2025, through June 1, 2026, serving K-12 students across several school districts. You’ll collaborate with district staff as an itinerant educator, ensuring accessible learning experiences and fostering student independence in multiple educational settings.
What You’ll Bring:
- Active, current Pennsylvania teaching certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Prior experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired, preferably in a K-12 school setting
- Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs and adapting instructional materials
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with school teams and families
- Reliable transportation to travel between schools within York County
Your Day-to-Day:
- Provide direct, specialized instruction to students with visual impairments in various school environments
- Adapt state and district curricula to make materials accessible for visually impaired learners
- Consult regularly with general education and special education staff to support accommodations and instructional needs
- Stay informed on best practices and advancements in the field of visual impairment education
