Qualifications:
- Valid California Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Certification is required
- Experience working with K-12 students in an educational or special education environment is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with school staff, parents, and students
- Ability to tailor instructional strategies to accommodate a variety of visual impairments
- Collaborative mindset and a passion for helping students reach their potential
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct services and consultation to K-12 students with visual impairments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans and accessible instructional materials
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ educational needs and progress
- Partner with classroom teachers and related service providers to integrate accommodations and support student inclusion
- Offer guidance and support to families and staff members regarding best practices and adaptive technology
