Key Qualifications:
- Credentials as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired or relevant certification (or eligibility)

- Solid knowledge of adaptive technology, tactile learning materials, and differentiated instruction
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction in Braille reading and writing tailored to students’ unique learning objectives
- Conduct functional vision assessments and ongoing progress evaluations
- Adapt curricular materials, create tactile graphics, and recommend appropriate assistive technology
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to plan and implement effective educational strategies for students with visual impairments
- Provide coaching and consultation to staff and families for best practices in accessibility and inclusion
- Maintain accurate documentation, monitoring student performance, and ensuring compliance with educational standards
