Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Riverside, CA

You’ll be working directly with one student, leading evaluations and actively participating in the development and implementation of their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). This is an onsite role, so you’ll be part of the school community, collaborating closely with staff while providing high-quality support for the visually impaired. This assignment places a high value on expertise and individual attention, providing a unique and fulfilling teaching experience.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification required
- Experience working in school settings or with visually impaired students highly preferred
- Exceptional communication skills, particularly with IEP team collaboration
- Ability to conduct thorough assessments and write educational plans
- Commitment to student-centered instruction and progress
- Comfortable working onsite, in-person with students and staff
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional support to one visually impaired student
- Conduct evaluations to assess abilities and needs
- Write and update IEPs, participating in planning meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student success
- Track and report on student progress
- Participate in professional meetings as needed
