Qualifications:
- Valid state teaching certification with a Visually Impaired endorsement
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Prior experience supporting students who are blind or have low vision, preferably in itinerant roles
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Flexibility to travel between school sites within the district
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to visually impaired students across multiple school campuses
- Adapt curriculum materials and classroom environments to students’ needs
- Collaborate closely with general and special education staff, families, and support professionals
- Monitor student progress and update individualized education plans (IEPs) as required
- Empower students to gain independence and achieve their academic goals
