Desired Qualifications & Experience:

- Previous experience working with visually impaired or blind students preferred
- Strong knowledge of Braille instruction, adaptive technology, and accessible materials
- Skilled in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Flexibility and creativity in adapting curriculum to meet diverse learner needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments, individually or in small groups
- Assess student needs and design strategies that promote accessibility and engagement
- Support classroom teachers and staff by offering resources and training on visually accessible materials
- Collaborate with families to set goals, monitor progress, and foster home/school communication
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as part of the multidisciplinary team
- Advocate for students’ needs to enhance accessibility and educational inclusion
