Desired Qualifications:
- Active Colorado DOE Certification: Special Education Specialist – Visual Impairment (ages 0-21)
- Master’s or higher (or equivalent) in special education visual impairment
- Experience with vision-related assessments and tailor-made educational plans
- Orientation and Mobility Certification preferred (not required)
- Background check and fingerprinting required
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive vision assessments and develop individualized education programs
- Provide direct instruction and academic support for visually impaired students across grade levels
- Adapt classrooms and materials for accessibility
