Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Colorado DOE Certification: Special Education Specialist – Visual Impairment (ages 0-21)
  • Master’s or higher (or equivalent) in special education visual impairment
  • Experience with vision-related assessments and tailor-made educational plans
  • Orientation and Mobility Certification preferred (not required)
  • Background check and fingerprinting required

Role Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive vision assessments and develop individualized education programs
  • Provide direct instruction and academic support for visually impaired students across grade levels
  • Adapt classrooms and materials for accessibility
  • Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student success
  • Maintain accurate documentation and fulfill compliance requirements
