Teacher for the Visually Impaired | Bel Air, Maryland

Qualifications:
- Maryland certification/licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to adapt materials and curriculum for visual accessibility
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and consultative services to K-12 students with visual impairments
- Assess student needs and design individualized education plans (IEPs) with measurable goals
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Develop and adapt curricula and instructional materials using braille, large print, and various assistive technology
- Advocate for students’ independence and inclusion across academic and social settings
