Qualifications:
- Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or eligibility to obtain
- Experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired, ideally in a K-12 environment
- Strong knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and accessible instructional materials
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Commitment to creating a supportive and adaptable learning atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional services to students with visual impairments in individual or small group settings
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials to be accessible and engaging for all learners
