Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with visual impairments

- Familiarity with assistive technologies, Braille, and adaptive instructional materials
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Prior school-based experience is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students with visual impairments, adapting materials to meet their unique needs
- Assess students’ functional vision and needs, recommending appropriate supports and adaptations
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure students’ access to the general education curriculum
- Develop individualized lesson plans and goals in alignment with IEP objectives
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies and supports as necessary
- Provide training and guidance to staff and families on the use of adaptive technology and resources
- Advocate for accessible learning environments and promote student independence
