Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Corona, California

Two full-time openings are now available for skilled Teachers of the Visually Impaired to work across K-12th grade caseloads. This rewarding position starts as soon as possible, offering you the chance to provide essential support and specialized education services.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- California teaching credential with appropriate authorization for Visually Impaired instruction (or eligibility)
- Experience working with students who have visual impairments—K-12 experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other educators, families, and support staff
- Knowledgeable in developing and implementing IEPs, utilizing Braille and assistive technology
- Passionate about adapting curriculum and learning environments to meet the unique needs of each student
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to visually impaired students across a variety of grade levels and settings
- Assess students’ functional vision and learning needs, and provide input for IEP development
- Employ assistive technology, Braille, and adaptive materials to facilitate student learning and independence
- Support classroom teachers in implementing accommodations and modifications
- Maintain up-to-date progress reports, documentation, and communication with families
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff collaboration sessions, and ongoing professional development
