Desired Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
- Previous experience working with students who are blind or have low vision
- Strong skills in developing and adapting curriculum for accessibility

- Excellent communication skills with students, families, and educational teams
- Ability to collaborate with other professionals, such as orientation and mobility specialists, occupational therapists, and classroom teachers
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group instruction to visually impaired students
- Assess students’ educational needs, strengths, and progress
- Modify classroom materials and develop accessible resources
- Work closely with colleagues to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Support students in using adaptive equipment, technology, and mobility tools
- Advocate for student needs and foster independence in both academic and daily activities
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to families and educational staff
