Key Qualifications:
- State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or eligibility pending
- Experience working with students with significant visual needs, preferably in a school-based or itinerant capacity
- Proficiency with adaptive technology and Braille instruction
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to design and implement individualized educational plans
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one instruction and specialized support for a student with significant visual impairments
- Adapt and modify curriculum, materials, and learning environments to meet individual needs
- Guide and model the use of assistive technologies and Braille for student success
- Provide consultation, progress updates, and resources to families and school teams
- Maintain accurate records on student goals, achievements, and required documentation from August through June
